Dundee Hawkhill Harriers athletics club was formed in 1889 with its Clubrooms adjacent to Caird Park Stadium, Dundee.
We are a competing club participating in various competitions throughout the year including road running, cross country, hill running and track & field. Athletes can join from age 9 upwards and should come along around 6:30/6:45 and ask for Susan/Nigel/Catriona. Which training group you join will depend on age, ability, and event preferences.
Once you have been to training sessions for a few weeks and decided you like it you will be expected to join the club. Membership information can be provided on request. The Club have in place Child Welfare policies & procedures and have an appointed Welfare Co-ordinator.
New MembersAs a new member to the club please take time to look at the club's policies and code of conduct. Once you have done that please print the membership form, under 18's will need to sign to say they have seen the policies and code of conduct, over 18's still need to be aware of there content. Track & Field
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30pm at Caird Park stadium; just ask for a Hawkhill Harriers coach.
When using the track there is a charge payable to Dundee City Council. these are, currently £2.50 for adults and £1.85 for juniors ( under 16 ).
In the Winter some groups don't use the track but either run on the roads / hills around the clubrooms or use the gym
call in to the Clubrooms around 6pm on a Tuesday or Thursday and make yourself known. You will be made to feel welcome and be able to run with the senior men/women.
We have training session in the hills around Dundee on a Thursday during the summer. There are Sunday morning hill runs and training off-road during the winter. Call Dave Hanlon on 07894 098632 for more details
